Many great poker players on Betway casino are yet to win the coveted World Series of Poker bracelet and Shaun Deeb used to be one of them. For many years, he tried to capture the elusive bracelet only to see it slip through his fingers after being eliminated at the final table.
He made another attempt at this edition of the WSOP and sat down at the table of the 2015 WSOP Event #15: $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold’em Championship.
The prohibitive buy-in and the fact that this game is slightly different from regular events, explains why the number of competitors was limited to 121 players. The first prize will exceed €300, but for Shaun it was far more important to claim the bracelet and break the ice. He did his best to reach the final table with a healthy stack but he trailed a couple of players when only nine were left in the race.
Several highrollers were ahead of him and they played aggressive poker, but Shaun Deeb had no problem in waiting them out. One by one they were eliminated and by the time three handed play started, the playing field was leveled and everyone had the same chances to prevail. After getting lucky on several occasions and causing the elimination of some of his opponents at the poker table, he started to play more cautiously, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.
The last man standing was Paul Volpe and he put up quite a fight, but in the end he had no chance but to go in for all his chips with the worst possible hand in poker. He’ll get lucky and after the board was revealed, Shaun Deeb took all the chips and was crowned winner of the event. This was the first WSOP bracelet for the immensely talented poker player and he is entitled to be optimistic about what the remaining tournaments will bring
